Cernunnos
the horned god
friend of reptiles  fish
birds and animals
had two snakes
that traveled
over and under the ground
looking for those
who abused
the environment

When found
Cernunnos
corrected the situation

 In a world
of
early farming
planting was
a religious ceremony

When people were few
life depended
on family groups
Security was in numbers
Fertility was survival

The horned God honoured
the dance of
new life

 Springs and ponds
were sacred
Man knew the
powers if water

Air carried birds
and
sustained life
These were the concerns
of
Cernunnos
the horned god
who showed us
the fullness
of being
