Highlights documenting the painter’s 60 year career

... the embodiment of the human spirit ... Only you have caught the essence of that spirit. Some of the earlier works I have never seen before. They are lovely Bert. Karl Jung once said we have within each one of us,each human being on earth, what he called a racial memory. Your paintings capture this for me, haunting, beautifully eerie and joyous too. They are both past, present and future oriented unifying these temporal forces. This is the embodiment of the human spirit. This book is a testimony, a celebration of a single man’s vision and mankind’s undaunting spirit to learn and share that knowledge with others. You have been a mentor and friend. Bless you Bert and thank-you ... the pictures and words make so much sense to me!
